Turned Butternut Square Bowl / Catchall

This is a simple, beautiful example of butternut wood. The square body of the bowl has a subtle convex profile. 

We typically never stain anything, but a touch of crimson gel stain brought the grain out beautifully. It was finished in three coats of gloss polyurethane. 

Whether you toos your keys in it, loose change, potpourri, or nothing at all, it'll fit perfectly in that spot you're thinking of right now...
