Crass Band Cheese/Cutting Board in Hard Maple and Wenge / Punk
As soon as you saw the engraving...you knew. Crass was one of our favorite 80's punk bands.
Crass was born from commune culture. They championed resistance movements as they Rose to punk fame out of Essex England. Crass popularised the anarcho-punk movement of the punk subculture, advocating direct action, animal rights and environmentalism.
We think their iconic symbol is a dichotomy on this piece, and a perfect fit. We're older now, but the drive to resist is something that never leaves. Basically, we're still punks...we can just afford better food now.
The board is a reasonably compact one measuring 13.5" long including the handle, 5 5/16" wide and .75" thick on beautiful curly hard maple with Wenge wood accents.
